Let me share the purpose I've found for myself through Alta's guidance and perhaps this will spark something within in you too. I have a history of drug addiction, alcohol dependency and have struggled, immensely, with bulimia for 16 years. I met Alta through a personal referral, which to me, is one of the highest of compliments because it says 'I TRUST this person to take care of you'... My life was at a hold when I met Alta. I was in a toxic relationship where I was being manipulated because I loved too much too hard. I had a Spinal Fusion on my lower back with little success just an addition for me to feel useless, alone, broken, spiritless, stuck and without any type of ambition to keep going even though without me knowing life was just about to begin.
My childhood and younger years weren't even half descent. I was in a 17 yr marriage with an older man father of my 3 beautiful girls who was a great father, provider just a horrible husband. ** Keeping busy and drinking was my way to cope with the pain I couldn't explain. I went from relationship to relationship thinking someone else could make me happy. The only place I was happy was when I listened to God's word. It was hard but I over came that part of my life. As a child I was sexually molested by a family member who I later forgave. My relationship with my mother was ruined because of she didn't believe me. My kids saw me as weak and did not respect me as they did before. My boyfriend was sympathetic and kind at the beginning. I became angry and temperamental, sensitive and defensive. I approached every situation with aggressiveness to the point no one wanted to be around me. I prayed God for help I've never felt so lost, alone and not in control of me and my household.
Meeting with Alta the first time I was afraid because I didn't know if this treatment would interfere with my faith with God. Alta said just speak to me tell me how you're feeling. Oh my Gosh I felt like someone opened a faucet and broke the handle. I couldn't stop. I wanted to let out everything that was inside. Alta just listened and wrote down every feeling I felt. She spoke to me with such love and told me that everything is going to be okay. Asked me to trust her and if I diligently took this seriously it will help me. The first time I was under hypnosis I went as far as my childhood and saw my favorite doll I believe is was my happy place as a child. I heard every word Alta said. I felt such peace.... peace I had not felt since I was very small. That day after our meeting I slept 6 hrs straight like a baby.
My biggest challenge was making this man disappear so that I could gain my self worth and Him not hinder my healing no more. Every time I met with Alta, it was like a drop of light was deposited in me giving more and more strength by eliminating those thoughts that made me speak death upon my future.
I can't thank her enough for introducing me to the book The 4 Agreements I felt like my eyes were wiped clean and I could see people with truth love and no bitterness. I've learned to love my children for who they are and still continue to discipline them as mom. I continued to listen to the recordings Alta made specially for me and just started to apply the 4 Agreements and God back into my life and started to see my boyfriend for who he truly was. I attempted to apply a few of the agreements on our relationship but I was still stuck on trying to make it work knowing I wasn't loved equally. I thought the way he was with me was how all guys were because it was how I was used to being treated. Once I knew the truth I was care free I love me more. Even when I gain those unwanted couple of pounds I love my self even more. I was taught by another human being to let go and just enjoy the moment. I have learned to be quiet and have a personal intimate relationship with God when I'm quiet. Quick to listen slow to speak. These quiet times happened away from home but it was the best times ever. I felt liberated!!! I came back so strong and loved that when I came back I did not allow this man to hurt me or even manipulate me any longer with his empty words.
I couldn't have done any of this if God had not placed Alta in my path. Looking at her listening to her admiring her positive outlook on life the cleanliness I felt talking to her. The beauty of her soul I yearned that.... her happiness her love I want that too. Wanting this has challenged my inner soul to be better for myself and to others. To speak with love and not take anything personal. Also learning how to do things one step at a time by doing my best. One major thing I have learned has been to have more patience with my teens if something is not done, I'll do it myself to avoid disturbing peace. I know I have so much more to learn but that's what this life is about and I intent to do it happily.
I'm so thankful for you Alta, you're strong, wise and caring. A caring I've never had. You have taught me to love and live again. I'm liberated from human domestication and free to just be me. I've never loved myself more after I rediscovered the love in me for me. "I wanted to be more positive, and happy. I needed to accept/embrace emotions, love, and myself. I wasn't consistently happy, I think my focus all over the place.
